If you are looking for a mechanic near Franklin, this is the shop most Route 23 drivers end up at. KRP Franklin is the original shop, at 1 NJ-23 where Route 23 meets Route 517 on the Franklin and Hardyston line. The KRP Performance neon sign and the Carfax 2025 Top-Rated Service Center award sit at the front desk, which tells you how the team here thinks about the work.
Franklin serves the Route 23 corridor: Hamburg, Ogdensburg, Sussex, Vernon and the ski-area traffic in winter, plus Sparta and Lake Mohawk drivers who come up Route 517. Pickups and SUVs that tow and plow are a big part of the day here, so differential, drivetrain, brake and suspension work on trucks is routine.
The shop is on Route 23 at the Route 517 junction. Northbound or southbound, look for KRP at 1 NJ-23.
Route 517 north to Route 23. About 16 minutes from the center of Sparta.
