KRP Lodi is opening soon.
Acura brings Honda's engineering up a level, with V6 power, all-wheel drive and more technology. From the MDX and RDX to the TLX and Integra, KRP keeps Acuras on schedule and handles the repairs when something comes up.
Acura is Honda's luxury brand, and most of what is under the hood is shared with Honda: the 3.5-liter V6, turbocharged fours and Honda's maintenance philosophy. Acuras use the Maintenance Minder, which tells you what is due by code instead of a fixed mileage, and we follow it.

An Acura mechanic near you should know the difference between a Honda that happens to wear an Acura badge and the parts that are Acura's own. Transmission repair, check engine light service and AC service are the jobs Acura drivers search for most, and all three start with a scan at our Franklin or Clifton shop rather than a guess.
Four areas that matter most on Acuras, each linked to the service that covers it.
Many Acura V6s shut down cylinders to save fuel. On some engines that can lead to oil consumption, fouled spark plugs or worn engine mounts. A misfire or a new vibration is worth a proper diagnosis.
Related serviceThe V6 uses a timing belt, usually due around 100,000 miles or when the Maintenance Minder calls for it. The water pump is driven by the same belt, so the two are normally replaced together.
Related serviceRecent TLX, MDX and RDX models use multi-speed automatics whose shift quality depends on fluid condition and software updates. We check both before suggesting anything bigger.
Related serviceNewer Acuras use an electric parking brake, which needs a scan tool to retract the rear calipers. Doing it properly protects the motors and gets the pads seated right.
Related serviceMechanically, much of it is shared with Honda, which keeps parts available and repairs predictable. Acuras add more equipment, more power and different tuning.
A letter for the main service (A is oil, B is oil plus an inspection), with numbers for extras such as tire rotation, filters, spark plugs or the timing belt. Bring us the code and we will explain exactly what is due.
Some V6s with Variable Cylinder Management are known to use oil. We measure consumption and inspect the spark plugs, then recommend a fix based on what we find. See oil changes.
Most repairs at KRP Automotive are guaranteed for as long as you own your vehicle. If you pay for a repair at our shop, you shouldn’t have to pay for it again, that’s our promise at all four open New Jersey locations.
