KRP Lodi is opening soon.
Land Rovers are built to go anywhere, and they reward owners who keep up with them. KRP services the Defender, Discovery, Discovery Sport and the LR2, LR3 and LR4, including the air suspension and electronics these vehicles are known for.
A Land Rover carries more systems than most SUVs: air suspension on many models, Terrain Response, a lot of control modules and engines that run hot under the hood. None of that is a reason to avoid one. It is a reason to have it serviced by people who scan every module and test before replacing parts.
Land Rover's luxury models are sold as Range Rover, and the company also builds Jaguar, so engines and electronics overlap across all three.
Four areas that decide how a Land Rover behaves, each tied to the service that covers it.
Air springs, the compressor and the height sensors age with time and miles. A corner sitting low after standing overnight, or a suspension fault message, is the early warning, and acting on it saves the compressor.
Related servicePlastic coolant pipes and housings, including the crossover pipes on V6 and V8 engines, crack with heat cycles. Pressure testing finds a leak before the temperature gauge does.
Related serviceWith this many modules, a weak battery causes a string of unrelated warnings. Testing the battery and charging system first saves a lot of chasing.
Related serviceFour-wheel drive and Terrain Response depend on transfer case and differential fluids that need their own service intervals.
Related serviceIt usually means an air spring or line is leaking. It is not an emergency, but it makes the compressor work harder every day, so it is worth fixing before the compressor fails too. See steering and suspension.
Range Rover is Land Rover's luxury line. Both are built by the same company and share engines and much of their technology.
Low battery voltage is the usual cause. These vehicles draw power while parked, and a weak battery confuses the modules. We test the battery and charging system first.
